"The cabin was very nice. I was late to check in by 10 minutes but I let the front desk know and they gave me another option to pick up my key. They ended up waiting for me anyways which was very sweet of them. Had a great stay!"

"I think HAOSTAY is very value for money as the rooms are big (as of Japan standards) and it offers a great view of Fuji from the room window and rooftop. The Japanese or sandwich breakfast options were great. It is a 15 min walk from the train station which is manageable. For transport to the train station, they have fixed vehicle trips at 9am, 9.30am and 10am. It is recommended to book them the night beforehand as there are only spaces for approx 7-9pax. All in all, I would definitely come back again if I were to go to Kawaguchiko."

"This is one of the most beautiful hotels I've stayed at. The design and functionality was unwatched. We had a personal onsen that was better than pictured and the closet and entryway provided lots of storage to keep our suitcases out of sight. I cannot reccomend this place enough. The traditional Japanese breakfast was incredible and beautifully presented. Place is within walking distance of many restaurants and Lake Kawaguchi. If you stay, check out our favorite restaurant from our trip in Japan - Tanpopo! "

"After traveling and exploring the bustling areas of Ueno park, Ginza, and Odaiba, it was nice to be somewhere tranquil and quiet. My partner and I were happy with coming to this place where nature is plentiful. The public baths were extremely soothing, and we found our stay restful. The hospitality of the staff was warm and welcoming, and it was nice to be next to Lake Kawaguchi so we can bike to the Maple Corridor. Overall, it was a great experience for our first trip to Japan and we’d love to come back to Lakeland Mizunosato in the near future!"

"This hotel is a terrific bargain if what you're looking for is a well-priced, great location, attentive staff, and on-premises onsen. If you're sensitive to the smell of decades of tobacco use, this hotel is not for you. If you're tolerant of this issue and want the opportunity to enjoy windows that open, and old-school amenities and service, you will enjoy this hotel as much as I do. "
