World class lodge on the Yakima River.
Posted 9 Dec 2017I have stayed several times at the Canyo River Lodge on the Yakima River. Every time I am reminded of how beautiful the Yakima River canyon is and how easy a drive it is from Seattle. The lodge itself is a world class facility right on the river. The suites are lovely, the staff is excellent, and the restaurant has wonderful food. In addition there is one of the finest fly shops at the lodge that I have ever been in. They have guides for fishing, sporting clays, and hunting if you need help enjoying the available sporting activities. I highly recommend the Canyon River Lodge for a short romantic getaway or a hardcore outdoor adventure.

Good for beginner fly fisher-people.

Pros: Remote location (for Washington).
Location: Fishing.
Staff was helpful and nice. The location is noisy due to the highway and trains. Beautiful in a rugged kind of way.

Superb serenity - home away from home
Posted 29 Aug 2017Excellent lodgings. River raging behind us n wonderful view of fire pit, pool, spa n river.
Condo suites make this a home away from home.
Only thing that would've made things perfect is if the AC hadn't been broken. And check out took some time waiting for front desk to get off phone.
Wish someone had told us the Billiard room would be closed w the office hours. Went to play some after an excellent dinner next door. 😢 Also looked for Hose to spray feet off after venturing down to river as I didn't want to drag sand into room.
Rooms n beds are amazing.

Weird place
Posted 17 Aug 2017 on HotelsNo one there to check us in. Lodge closed. No restaurant. Coffee shop next door closed in the morning. Nice place, comfortable and clean but weird! Had to drive 20 minutes to Ellensburg to eat. Definitely for those who are bringing their own food and supplies. Oh, and there are trains that pass by every hour or so all day and night.

Posted 5 Jul 2017 on HotelsThe lodge was gorgeous, quiet with beautiful views. The pool wax perfect shallow and warm but refreshing. Our room was terrific, comfy bed and pillows. Great kitchen and outstanding views of the river and hills.
