The location is not far from the train station so that was great. The hotel itself is ok. I’ve noticed most hotels in Taiwan never seem to clean the windows so it looks dirty. Glass elevator looks dirty because the windows are so dirty. Same with the windows in the breakfast room which is too bad as there is a nice view. The beds were reasonable and the bathroom was a bit tired (toilet seat was very loose). Water pressure and temperature was excellent. The breakfast was just ok with only white bread, no butter and no fruit. Lots of vegetables though. Coffee was just ok with no milk(only soy milk).

It is a new and modern building but unfinished and somewhat neglected.
1. Noisy air conditioner in room, too loud to sleep while it works.
2. Smell of sewage discharge next to western wall of the hotel.
3. Pack of upto six homeless dogs loitering outside main door.
4. Unappetizing breakfast of cold fried egg, rice porrage, three condiments and small instant coffee.
5. Swimming pool is without water and neglected.
6. I paid in cash at arrival and later realized I had a booking here already paid for by credit card. Manager would not refund me my cash and forced Expedia to cancel the booking and refund me.
Location is good very close to train station.

TO whom it may concern,
thanks for your comments, however, Because you forgot that you using different name book online already. While you let us know this situation is already after our work time. The counter already off and Expedia staff off time as well. we need to let you know that we spent almost 5 hours around 2 days to discuss to Expedia which you book the reservation. You know how many times we spent, we also show you what misunderstanding here you made and why we need to do lots of these things. We call the international phone to the staff in your country to help you deal with the problem. the way to cancel the Expedia reservation is the staff suggest you do that because of the twice reservation you book. We know the twice booking is so annoying for you, but so do us. It didn't have water in the pool because of the typhoon, it's about the safety concern. About the breakfast, we offer not only these things for you, especially, we offer the triple black coffee for you to make you feel better.
We are doing the best to make things better though it still let you feel bad in your comments. Sorry about it again. Hope the trip is good and things are better now. Have a nice day.
Sincerely,
Manager Joyce.

Fairly modern hotel, with nice room decor. A bit mixed feelings as while the room looked nice, closer look showed some shoddy workmanship and that they just don't care about every detail. So if you're able to disregard some issues (markings on the walls, loose bathroom door handle, some wires in the staircase etc), this is a nice hotel within a few minutes walk from the train station and overall a good value for money.

Bus tour hotel - not for me!
Posted 3 Sep 2018 on HotelsStayed 3 nights to visit Taroko N Park.
This hotel caters to bus tour groups from China. Individual guests are not a priority.
Restaurant staff will not take your order while they are serving tour groups. After the groups leave, there is food on the floor, dirty tables, nasty.
Breakfast is best to be avoided even if you pay for it. We were allowed in basement after groups left. Cold food, left overs, dirty floor. I asked for extra pillow and had to pay for it. Garbage bins in front f hotel were overflowing with trash everyday we were there. First thug we saw when we got out of elevator was the bathrooms for tour groups who come to hotel just for their meals. Gross! We were assigned a handicapped room which our reservation did not mention so staff changed us to another floor. We checked other hotels in the area for similar price and found them much better . So we moved to another hotel. Do not stay here.

Great spot
Posted 7 Jul 2018Fantastic location. Short walk from Xincheng Station and scooter rental shop, short ride to Taroko National Park, plus came across an awesome local night market right by the hotel. Staff were good and provided great service. Good view of the mountains as well.

Convenient hotel for Taroko
Posted 28 Jun 2018Overall very pleased with our stay! The staff upgraded us to a balcony room, which was lovely. This location of this hotel, and the affordable price, is what makes it great. Within 3 minute walk of train station, bike rental, scooter rental, and a few small shops and restaurants. If you are planning to visit Taroko and want to stay in a quiet environment rather than a city, this is the place. Room was clean and cool. The beds were very comfortable! Plus, if you need public transportation for visiting Taroko, you are right next to bus stop for Taroko Bus 302. The staff also helped us book a taxi for our day trip. Only one minor complaint—the bathrooms would stay so much cleaner if you installed shower curtains or a shower door. Very easy fix.
