Great place to stay for those passing through for a good price. Decor a little outdated but not really an issue.

Decent, honest country food and accommodation

Posted 17 Jan 2017 on Wotif
Pros: Off the main route, and quiet, without being a significant detour. It had a 'real' feel about it. No pretence.
Cons: It met our expectations.
Location: A minor detour off the Hume Hwy. Not much really to do or see there, but the five of us just needed somewhere to eat and sleep.
Great service, friendly staff, clean rooms, good pricing. And all next to a pub that does a decent feed, too. Basic, but no complaints at all.

Quiet stopover

Posted 1 Jan 2017 on Wotif
Pros: Quiet. Cheap but still good for the basics.
Cons: At the price, nothing.
Location: Lovely countryside but no activities to speak of. Motel is on a loop of the old Hume Highway that has now been bypassed, so it's quiet.
Handy stop-over. Nowadays it's off the highway (on the old highway) so it's nice and quiet. Rooms were comfortable with plenty of space. Doesn't have any fancy facilities but covers the basics very well. Can provide dinner but doesn't provide breakfast (but there are excellent cafes just up the road in Holbrook if you're heading north). There's some history in the area but nothing to do locally, so it's not a place to spend a week, but it makes a good stop-over at an excellent price.

Good overnight stop

Comfortable small town motel. Owners were friendly. Arrived late so didn't experience the adjacent pub. No internet, and phone signal patchy (Optus) which was not a problem for us. I would stay again, as a highway stopover

Pros: Convenience just off the highway; and cleanliness. Dinner at friendly pub next door. No pokies.
Cons: Decor is tired. No petrol or dedicated coffee shop in Woomargama itself.
Location: Perfect, Secluded yet convenient
Facilities: Good, 1970s basic traditional; Value: Great deal, Great value on the Hume; Service: Go the extra mile, Welcoming & helpful; Cleanliness: Spotless, Clean & comfortable; Woomargama currently boasts a rare 'common'; lots of heritage signs pointing out history of the area.
