Our overnight stay was satisfactory in that the bedroom and shower room were clean and of good standard. We had a few problems with the heating and had to move rooms a couple of times but were provided with additional heaters and the host did her best to sort things out. We spent a cosy night. We had a bar meal which was good pub grub and good value for money. Parking at the rear was convenient. Wifi was a little hit and miss but the weather was appalling and this may have accounted for problems.
Unwanted credit card charge for Breakfasts which w
on checking out on the 16th i was informed that i had paid in full.
this was £20 more than stated by Hotels.com. Member of staff advised me that i had paid for two breakfasts !.
I informed the staff member that breakfast was not required, due to a time factor i could not wait to discuss with relavent member of staff. I assumed that i would have been refunded £20 which they had charged to my C/Card. To date this has not been the case,
Not so good on room service only 1day in a 5 day stay.Breakfast not available and evening meals from Wednesday onward. The room was comfortable and quiet. The staff were friendly.
Only stayed there for one night but we were left disappointed. This property did not have wifi even though it was advertised that it provides wifi, room was full of dusts, we could not close the window so my partner went downstairs to ask if someone could close it as it was cold in the room. after waiting for over an hour I went to check myself what was going on thankfully we were placed in another room...but again there was no wifi so I had buy myself to spend another £20 on top of what we already paid with no decent customer service. We were promised a refund however upon checking out there was no manager present (how convenient again..) so I left my phone number for the manager (Heidi, blond girl) to ring me back.. which I am still waiting... and I will probably never receive.. please do yourself a favour and avoid this hotel.
Disappointed the hotel had lost its chef so no breakfast on offer had phones 2 weeks before booking this should of been mentioned. The hotel looked tired windows very dirty just felt it needed upgrading and staff who weren't drinking through the bar at night.
