"I made the booking via Hotel.com and 5 hours after I paid I had an email that I had to pay a £50 mandatory fee for facilities passes at the park. I questioned this as nothing was stated via booking and the price stated was the final price I paid. I had emails from a 3rd party called travelnest and also getting emails from someone asking for £50. The whole booking was a mess. "We stayed in this delightful cottage for three night. The whole house was kitted out with everything we needed. Well stocked kitchen though we are out mostly. The beds were very comfortable. Lots of space to store our clothes with plenty of hangers. The shower was easy to use and there was plenty of hot water. Close to all amenities and transport links - buses, trains and tour boats."

"I loved that old cottage and am glad it is in good use. It's nicely furnished and the village where it is situated is delightful. Two negatives were the dog smell in the lounge and poor state of plants in pots. While the dog smell is probably unavoidable as dogs are allowed, the dead plants brought about a depressing impression. Being a gardener, I tried to look after the remaining plants and had to transplant one huge heuchera plants that was literally hanging in the air as its pot was...

"A lovely week at High Park Barn. The owners are next door and available but leave you to it if that's your preference. The cottage is compact but has everything you need. The fresh duck and hen eggs were great. We ate out in the local pubs and had some delicious meals. Everyone was very friendly. We walked every day so the dogs were happy too. "
