Pros: Location, staff attitude, services
Cons: There is only one lift, which can cause delays at busy times.
Location: Hiking, walking, cycling, good location close to Bayreuth with lively village at bottom of hill.
Hotel Reiterhof is first choice for hiking, walking or cycling. if you prefer more leisurely pursuits, the spa facilities are wonderful, as is the food and service.

Posted 14 Nov 2015 on HotelsI stayed just one night, but can say that it is nice hotel with Spa facilities. Just pity that the Spa is open just from 7am - 9pm. So in my case not so much opportunity enjoy it. Brekafast was also good.

Excellent - Hotel Reiterhof Bellevue Spa & Resort
Posted 11 Aug 2015 on HotelsMy daughter and I stayed at the Hotel Reiterhof Bellevue Spa & Resort en route to the Wagner Festival in Bayreuth. We have nothing but praise for the hotel and the staff. The hotel was in a beautiful area of Bavaria, having wonderful views from its Terrace. The rooms were spacious, comfortable and attractive, each with its own terrace or balcony. The spa was extremely well equipped with a delightful pool, a small cafe area and garden, and again great views. Although a wedding party was taking place and the main restaurant was therefore closed the smaller bar area had an excellent menu, and charming and helpful staff. I couldn't find a fault if I tried (oh, maybe having no air conditioning could be a problem, and only one lift with no inner staircase).

Best Hotel Ever in Bayreuth Area
Posted 4 Nov 2012 on Hotelshuge room with all possible amenities -very comfortable bed, robe, sofa, light sitches and lighting. Great big TV. The best spa/massages/mudpacks/facial treatments/pool/sauna for reasonable prices (book in advance - they sell out fast!). the best breakfast buffet with everything you ever wanted. Very tastefully decorated restaurant, makes you feel welcome and appreciated. Love the big round "Kachelofen" Excellent very friendly service - from the receptionist to the waiter and the maids! Menu is outstanding - many traditional German and many unique dishes, prepared with care, style and absolutely delicious! I will return and stay longer soon :))

Die Guten Zeiten sind vorbei. Bett zu schwabbelig. Zimmer veraltet, keine Klima. Hatte nachts 35 Grad trotz Ventilator, hätte zwar tauschen können aber das Haus war sowieso überhitzt. Essen Restaurant wenig, geschmacklos, teuer. Das Bier war gut. Empfang der netten Marokkanerin sehr freundlich was einen Stern mehr gibt.
