My room upon arrival had strange knocking sounds and an eerie cold. I told the front desk who was coincidentally receiving the same complaint from another room. They quickly and with seriousness explained the hotel was haunted, the ghost was not dangerous, and my room was switched. No problem with my next room. What an experience.
My only complaint was the mattress was lumpy. Otherwise a grand old and interesting hotel. Great restaurant. Top quality service all around.

Old building with old rooms. Overpriced restaurant for service. Poor casual service in checkin, and very poor restaurant service during my stay. Stand for ten minutes waiting for someone to have time to even take you to a table. Room was near elevator, all night long listening to air sounds from the elevator when it moves. Would not stay here again, historic hotel did not justify poor service and poor room quality. TenSpa on tenth floor is the only thing noteworthy here compared to other hotels I've stayed at. For breakfast, go to local restaurants within one block for half the price but equal or better quality food.

All good, except fpr the fact that the walls are so thin, you can hear the people in the next room. Ive stayed there wuite a few times, and its always tye case.
Otherwise, great.

We loved the historic feel of the lobby and the renovated spaces. All staff were helpful. I liked the water bottle filling station too. It was close to the train station and tourist the sites.
