Great no fuss stay.

No problems other than a bit noisy being on a main road, car park close and unlike the rest of Windsor not too expensive

Room was adequate and clean. But beds were not comfortable, Door knob was loose. As soon as I opened a door to the room, I smelled stale cigarette smell. There seems no air condition so need to open windows to get air through room. Room was ready to check in 30 minutes before check in time and no problem to get in to our allocated room upstairs. Expedia listed contact number was wrong and finally found correct phone and contact email address from Charles House own web site. Expedia booking site was not able to amend number of guest from one to two. I finally got Charles house owner by email and at end we paid additional 10 GBP for our stay. Toilet sheet was yellow stained and could not understand why it has not been replaced to new one. Better maintenance of room is required. 10 minutes Walking distance to Windsor Castle. Closest parking was full but we found spaces in another parking. Parking 4.80 GBP for two hours, 2 GBP for Overnight 7 pm to 9 am. Better to stay outside of Windsor or visit from London by tour or rail.

GREAT PLACE TO STAY
Posted 16 Apr 2018 on HotelsThis guest house is what it states on the tin. Its simple and easy to find and use. We enjoyed it . No body to check in with and the last four of your mobile to gain entry was a novel idea and worked well. I can state that our stay was enjoyable and if I were staying in Windsor again I would certainly stay at this property. Also there is a CO OP convenience store just across the road which is a great bonus.

Door lock system with pin was unusual for us

Super convenient
Posted 25 Jan 2018I needed a place to sleep after a work do, this was a perfect choice. Simple, clean, conveniently located - and the keyless check in/entry system was a dream.
