Chose this due to the location And the benefits of the health spa We were disappointed that the health spa was not on site as when booking it was advertised but this has been changed On arrival the hosts are most accommodating and very friendly, Property is outstandingly clean through out . This property is on the Lake Road, a main road that runs from Windermere to Bowness. Bus stops are nearby and fairly frequent and can take you into nearby Windermere, if you don't want to walk, or other parts of the Lake District eg Grasmere. The property itself is lovely, slightly rustic, but I like that 'home from home' feel. Our room (Kingsize) was very well laid out, had useful amenities and quite comfortable. One small gripe, which Richard warned us about, is the wardrobe not closing properly, and it didn't 😞, hopefully it's fixed by now. Breakfast was a feast of pastries, cereal, yoghurt, fruit juices and fresh fruit and a menu for additional hot choices. I couldn't finish my breakfast on the last day (a brekkie kebab), so Ada kindly wrapped it for me to take away. No complaints at all. Thank you Rich and Ada for making our stay very comfortable. Nothing was too much trouble for either of you and you and you were both extremely helpful when we asked for information and advice. Adrian & Jo

We really enjoyed our stay. The location is perfect between two towns. The room was so lovely, so many personal touches which makes such a difference :) Rich has a list of recommendations and places to see which was very helpful. we also tried the spa facilities which were fantastic!
