Great location, parked on the front, easy walking distance to Windermere.
Few cobwebs on ceiling and bedside lamps were not 5 star standard

The hotel is in a great location for easy access to Windermere. The pool was a short drive away, and as we were there for only a couple of nights we didn't get to use it.
The manager was very friendly and helpful. Our bed was comfortable and the shower was lovely. Would be very happy to stay there again on our next visit to Windermere.

We had a wonderful stay. The Howbeck was spotlessly clean, including the bathroom which was beautifully designed.

A comfortable guest house

Superb, but careful you don't slip in the shower.
Posted 11 Jun 2024 on HotelsExcellent place to stay. Short walk from Windermere town and the shops and restaurants there. Gorgeous property, comfortable beds and the breakfast was excellent.
Only complaint was the bathrooms. Very tall tub walls and very slick tub surface with no non-slip shower/tub mats, so it was a miracle I didn't slip and didn't get seriously hurt when taking a shower.

What a great find
The retreat is just what you need after a long drive
Breakfast being delivered to your room in the morning is a great touch

Was a very clean and excellently presented accommodation. Staff were very friendly and helpful.
The breakfasts were delicious.
