Posted 18 Aug 2024 on HotelsJust one night, only its convenience made me book this at short notice. For that it was acceptable but really the price reflected the condition.
Aged, in need of refurbishment and updating. A damp musty smell emanated from the bathroom so opening the windows and keeping the bathroom door closed freshened the bedroom. Thankfully it was a warm night.
The staff were friendly but the whole building has not aged well.
On the positive the bed was comfortable and the linen fresh.

No hot water. Shower screen rail very rusty. No breakfast even though advertised. Corridor smelt of drugs. Staff were frendly and helpful. Room was clean.

Great front of house staff
Water temp is poor though and heaters do not work and some areas could be cleaner

Unfortunately room 8 had a damp smell which was very noticeable on entry and also there’s specks of black mould on the bathroom ceiling and cobwebs in the corner of the room. Was expecting a premier inn type budget hotel but this was far below my expectations and I will not be booking again.
