This is not a pet-friendly establishment but we had our service dog with us. They allowed him to stay begrudgingly. We were charged $50 after we left because there was dog hair on the bedspread. We swept and ensured there was not a stitch of hair on the couch or anywhere else but missed the hair on the bedspread. If you have a service animal don’t book here. Otherwise it’s a cute little cabin that we were going to book again.

Dear Katrina I am not surprised by your review. In your reservation you never mentioned a pet, service or not, we would like to be informed send prepared for pets which we welcome, we offer food and water bowls, special blankets etc., but you just showed up not even telling me about your pet was a service pet in training your husband said, I'm sorry in training does not qualify as service pet. He was barking, growling and snarling, not a service pet. We usually charge a 75 pet fee which I waved and allowed you to bring your pet inside under the stipulations that the pet stays off the furniture, you both agreed. in the morning my maid calls me and shows me. The black bear print on the bed cover is yellow from dog hair. You broke your promise, a bed is furniture tried to sneak in a dog pawning him off as a service pet, no leash, no vest, no manners. This the reason why I charged you the 50 extra cleaning fee and ruins it for all us service animal owners. Thank you for your review, I wissh we could review guests like at airbnb.

My family needed a rest stop to break up the drive from Seward to Denali. We all got a great night of rest at the Mooseberry Cabin. I enjoyed spending time by the lake and my family enjoyed the wifi.

Mooseberry Cabin from initial contact to departure was fantastic. Imagine a long. list of adjectives here like, spotless, comfortable, warm, convenient, friendly, open, beautiful, accessible.. and more.
The proprietors, Maggie and Damon, have gone out of their way to provide a beautiful well-equipped cabin that provides both convenience and privacy.
My only regret is that we were in the cabin for only one day -- it's the kind of place where you can take a break from those long Alaskan drives, sit out at the picnic table, breathe the fresh Alaskan air, walk down to the fire pit and the shore of Nancy Lake.
A great place and a great experience.

Maggie was the most friendly host. Made us feel so welcome and very helpful etting us settled in, etc.

Excellent for 2 or 3 people. Very cozy and nice access to Nancy Lake. On property of owners who were present and very nice if any issues.
