There was damage to the walls and pullout couch in our room. The sink was grimy when we entered and we saw roaches on the wall. Granted, they did have an exterminator come out 4 or 5 days into our 7 day stay. Housekeeping never entered our room so we had to ask at the night window for toilet paper and towels and we bought our own trash bags to take care of our garbage. I did like that the area was quiet, but you can hear other occupants around you. Overall, okay if you're just planning on being room solely for sleeping. Glad we didn't spend a fortune on the room.

The room had dead flies on the ceiling. Dead and live roaches in the mini fridge and microwave. The towels had been washed but still had dirt stains on them. Spider webs in the room. The microwave was old and rusted. Over all the place needs a full remodel or people who will clean the rooms correctly.

Wall-to-wall cochroaches! Didn't even a minute. Office woman tried to give another room. Expedia trying to get my refund, but they ignore.
STAY AWAY!!

Upon arrival female staff tried to put me in the hotel across the street as she sold out my king room that I paid in advance for. She offered me a double bed smoking room that I refused to take as I don’t smoke, I dare not to smell like smoke. Then the room she put me in room 254 had no bath towels or nothing in it and it was dirty. The tub was filthy with stains and a ring around it, the toilet wouldn’t flush properly, the air conditioner top frame was missing and had old food and trash stuck in it, the refrigerator was plugged up and did not work at all and smelled, I seen a roach crawling under the refrigerator, the green bed spread had stains on it from previous uses, the walls and ceiling is dirty, and the front door as the door been kicked from the inside, the top lock on door is broke, this place is a mess and needs to be shut down. If I was Expedia I would stop contracting with them and take their motels off your list as the property needs to be condemned. People stop paying your money as the foreign staff wants to give you what they want you to have, instead of what you paid for. The female staff talking about the price is the same for double or king. I booked what I booked and expected that. She had the nerve to tell me to calm down and lower my voice. I will never stay there or there burned down place across the street. If I could give them a negative- 5 star the sure earned it and deserved it.

We reserved a king bed 6 weeks in advance. When we arrived, they said no single bed rooms were available. We looked at a two bed room but it was dirty and smelled like mold. We ended up going to a quality inn down the street. The proprietors were rude.

A Hot Disgusting Mess
Posted 15 Sep 2024 on HotelsThe first one that I was given was not clean. The beds weren’t made and there was a dirty towel in the bathroom at which that was completely disgusting. The tub had hair on it. I requested another room and that room was a little better. The beds were made. The air conditioning did not work in my room and the room another relative was in. It literally was a hot mess. The floors and the bathroom were again disgusting. Not to mention the air/heating unit was held up by an iron propped underneath it. I understand this motel is cheap, but no effort has been put into improving anything. You get what you pay for. I only stayed because they were the only hotel in town that had availability. 1st and last time though.

The room was beyond disgusting. We delt with it because we were fishing the Roanoke River and they were only 6 minutes away from the pier, however, it was a terrible experience. Check in was limited to some weird teller window area, the front desk staff was not friendly, they have a pool on the property that is inoperable because of the amount of trash thrown into it, the room had roaches and I had to ask for towels because they weren't provided. It's safe to stay that I will never stay there again or any other OYO hotel.

The room was clean, comfortable, and well- maintained. The complimentary WiFi was fast and reliable.
