My only real negative about this property, can be attributed to a busy day and oversight. I arrived and checked in and when i got to my room with a king size bed, it had not been cleaned fron the previous guests. I went back and asked while we had dinner for the room to be cleaned. The attendant there, super nice, just put us in a different room with 2 queens. It would have been better and easier to just have the room cleaned, id think. Orher than that, the rooms are a bit dated, but it is a beautiful place.

The lodge far exceeded my expectations. Also, despite what other reviews indicated, our buffet meal at the restaurant was quite good.

the cabin stunk. Smelled like there was a fire in the room. I do understand about a fireplace but this was really unacceptable. This was not our first time staying in one of the cabins, we were there 20 years ago and we did not have this problem. This was our 50th WEDDING ANNIVERSARY and we were disappointed. Also the evening dining was less than memorable. not a fan of buffets.
