This property needs a major uplift. Very run down and had seen better days. Lobby and restaurant bar are in fair shape. Some rooms are stripped to bare, maybe waiting for funds to update. Pool forget about it as the workout room. The room I stayed in clean sheets and towels but run down. I would pay $25 a night for this place. Breakfast was fine but the breakfast area was run down ceiling tiles falling and walls with noticeable water damage. It’s hard for these hotels, they need capital to upgrade. I would say support the small guy struggling but Clarion is not a small guy, They need good management, sales staff, maintenance staff, etc..

What you pay is what you get. Honestly. It’s below comparable in the area, ok for an emergency stop. I think the topping was when I noticed a pen was used as a paper toilet holder. The previous reviews were spot on, stained linen, outdated/ stained furniture, no comforters, mildew smell. Stay at your own risk.

Clarion’s reputation took a hit at this location. The property is in poor condition at best. There is an old, stale, moldy smell in the lobby and some of the halls. The inside and outside could use some updating and care. Nothing says old like yellow and blue hallways. This place has great potential! It just needs bit of a facelift.

Clean, quiet room. Hotel has a bar, pools & exercise room. We had no problem finding parking. Convenient to Busch Gardens and Colonial Williamsburg.

Literally pick any other hotel in the area!
Ever been to a frat party? I had the pleasure of taking my parents and children to one at the clarion Williamsburg! Pulled into the lot which had little parking because of a party in the front room. Finally found a spot next to a drunk guy with his pants up peeing on a truck as he leaned there half falling over! We walk to the front laughing as it reminds us of the fraternity parties we attended in college.. just not with our kids! People were carrying in bottles of alcohol for the party. We checked into the rooms which we did not expect to be nice we just needed a place to crash. We had 3 rooms booked! Room 437 did not have a working phone and the shower did not drain (so we took a bath and a shower at the same time), room 439 was missing a shower curtain so our son went to the desk to get one. The attendant at 8:00am was asleep, we woke him and he gave us a curtain and told us to put it on ourself! Room 440 heard the party all night long. When we checked out and complained they said we will let the manager know! We never heard anything! I have contacted our booking company who is reaching out to management! Do yourself a favor stop over at William and Mary college find their Greek houses and offer $100 to spend the night it has to be nicer!!

Pictures are deceitful. Hotel is old, dingy and dirty. Reeks of cigarettes and chlorine. Indoor and outdoor pool area is gross. Room had bugs and towels were stained. DO NOT GET SUCKED IN BY THE PRICE and Pictures. Truly the most disgusting hotel.

The only nice thing I can say about this hotel is the staff was friendly. I knew this was a “2.5” star hotel going in, but I would give it a 1-1.5 star at most. Everything was extremely outdated, wall paper peeling with mold behind it peeking out, the fire stairs on our end were “out of service”, the continental breakfast was sad and gave my husband diarrhea, the elevator was so slow and I was sure it was going to break down with us in it, shower water would not get hot, the pool indoor and outdoor was disgusting and it is Memorial Day opening weekend- I could go on. Once again, I had low expectations going in and was still extremely disappointed. Will not be staying at this hotel or this chain again.
