All was good for our second stay , AC in our room was out of wack … never got lower than 75F which made sleeping a bit uncomfortable . Still one of the best resorts in CURACAO !!

Great food! Gorgeous water and beach. Plenty of chairs. Nice, clean room. Not much right outside of the property without a long walk. Very nice fitness facility and spin classes. Awesome snorkeling on site.

The beach was lovely. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful (we were snowed out of our return flight & they set up in another room. The second room was much nicer, so I felt sad that I didn’t receive that room at first. I don’t think my Expedia VIP was helpful. I called the hotel for the second room and received a better rate. Food at hotel was very limited. Luckily there is a small restaurant area just down the street. Blount was amazing. We are there 3 times!

My girlfriend and I as well as my two friends stayed on vacation for the week of November, 30th to December, 7th 2024. From the moment that we checked in at the lobby, the staff at the front desk were very friendly and extremely courteous. This is the oldest hotel on Curacao and some of the history is on display with old photos and paintings in the lobby. Wonderful architecture and the layout of this resort is amazing. Our hotel room had plenty of space, the bed was extremely comfortable and the shower was amazing. Perfect water pressure and the unit had plenty of shelf, closet and drawer space. We had a small balcony that looked out over the pool and ocean. The room had a safe, mini-fridge and plenty of bathroom space. We were always well stocked with linens and towels. A nice touch is that they provide you with sunblock and inset repellent. For a point of reference, my group stayed at the Octagon Standard on the fourth floor. As far a restaurant options are concerned, we enjoyed the breakfast buffet at the Pen Restaurant and Terrace and snacks at the Schooner Bar. The staff at both facilities were very attentive and friendly. We didn’t get the chance to dine at the Blues Restaurant because it wasn’t open to suit our schedule. The only critique that I have is that less expensive options for breakfast and lunch aren’t available. What I really loved and enjoyed was the layout of the two beaches at Avila. Amazing snorkeling and over too crowded.

Beach is excellent. A lot of very good restaurants nearby. We did not like limitations of beach towels ( one towel per person per day) which was very inconvenient. We stayed at different places who didn’t limit beach towels for guests

We had a wonderful time at the Avila. It exceeded our expectations. The private beaches are small, but beautiful and did not feel crowded, even during peak season. the pool was nice too. The whole hotel and grounds were vey well maintained. We especially enjoyed the snorkeling in the calm, clear water. Breakfast buffet was great and offers a wide variety of options with slight variations every day. We had one meal at The Pen and one meal at Blues. These were ok, but not great. There are many better options for dinner within a short walking distance. We would definitely choose this hotel again.

Lovely resort, never felt crowded. Easy to find a lounge chair on the beach or by the pool, lots of shade if desired. Nice restaurants, friendly staff. Good fitness room. Not far to commercial area although we were advised not to walk around neighborhood at night. Great upscale dining right by hotel.

The Avila Beach hotel is one of the best hotels I have ever stayed in. It has such a wonderful relaxed vibe and everyone is so welcoming and nice. The two private beaches are so relaxing and the pool was great too. The food is excellent and we especially liked The Blues restaurant. If you want a relaxed and quiet vacation - this is the best place for you! We had such a wonderful time at the Avila.

The reefs surrounding the hotel were my favorite part. There was more fishes and wildlife here than on the snorkeling excursions I booked. I even saw a sea turtle while snorkeling outside of the lagoons. The food was amazing, Happy hour was great with live entertainment 4 out of 7 nights. The price seemed very reasonable and the rooms had everything you’d need. I can’t wait to come back.

This is a wonderful hotel. The front staff greeted us very nicely and we had a room overlooking the water (worth it!) with stove and refrigerator! Their in-room coffee makers are excellent and they provide the pods. The two beaches are pristine and protected from rough waves by rock jetties. The Blues and Pen restaurants are excellent and there is a happy hour at the bar 5:00 -6:00 pm. We walked into town twice, about 30 minutes each way and not that pretty. The hotel offers a shuttle 9:30 - 11:30 am and 2:00 -4:30 pm but not over lunch or dinner. A cab from the airport was $45.00 dollars and return $38.00 dollars. There is large supermarket about 30-40 minutes walk away but no hotel shuttle there. This is a great property and relaxing!

The place was extremely average the maids and service was amazing but the front desk killed my vibe. This hotel feels very fee driven and will try to get you for every little thing. We were charged $25 dollars for one key card missing. A piece of plastic. When you can go to other hotels and it’s not a fee. Even on Expedia this wasn’t meantioned. 25 dollars per “towel” and these were the same quality towels used in the rooms didn’t feel right. The towel card is another scam fee.other luxury resorts do not charge over towel service. And I am playing devils advocate understanding each countries run their things differently. They charged me an extra 30 for my guest but the room accommodates for two people and doesn’t specify why I have to pay the 30 dollars. It’s like they were trying to pocket as much as possible. The resort is near the mambo beach which is still a good 20 minute walk , 4 minute drive but I just didn’t like the fee fee fee driven idea for the basic things. No free water or bottled water in the room. I received a total of 10 bites from bugs at this location. Which they sent out a letter explaining they would do better but for what we paid vs going else where I could of just spent extra money to be near another hotel that isn’t so pushy about fees
