The staff were excellent and offered high quality service, I felt like the property itself looks very old and outdated bar the new extension for the rooms. I also feel this is a Golf course 1st and Hotel and Spa second. Not bad for a night away especially if you are an older couple but younger couples may feel out of place. The spa was great and the rooms were comfortable with everything you need. The main building and restaurant lets it down. You will need to drive to eat in the evening, they have a restaurant but it’s expensive and you need to reserve a table. Not worth it in my opinion. I don’t regret my stay here but I probably wouldn’t stay again.

Needs updating, grounds were beautiful but difficult to get to as there are no cabs available from train station

We stayed for 2 nights in August 2024 because we had a wedding nearby. The property has a stunning golf course, bed was very comfy and the staff were very friendly and attentive. However, the hotel was too loud for us - the doors of all the rooms slammed shut and it was constant banging from about 6.30am as people started on the golf course. Unfortunately the breakfast was also very poor, and far too expensive for the quality.

Didn’t like being put in a Disabled Room
Didn’t Like the Room
Entered room went to open mirror fronted wardrobe door which nearly fell out onto my wife ( this was a Disabled Person Room) so we contacted reception who with my help removed the mirror door
This was refitted the next day by their staff and was not a problem but it Could have been if it had been a Disabled person who had been using the room
Someone must have known about and had done Nothing
Would not recommend staying at this property due to the costs of food and drink

Lovely hotel overlooking golf course. Unfortunately our room was right by the first hole and the golfers were out bright and early on the sunday morning and not at all respectful that people were in in bed... we paid £172 for the one night and didnt even get a lazy sunday morning lie in 🤔

Stayed here as some friends getting married nearby. Paid £190 for B&B. Property is tatty and tired, carpets stained, tiles off the wall in the bathrooms, beds very soft with thin pillows and polyester bedding, no sockets near the bed. Very disappointed given the price. Would not recommend unless paying significantly less. Golf course looked nice and Brian the night porter was very helpful.
