"When I booked my accommodation I specifically asked for a quiet location and was allocated apartment 4 on the ground floor. This is a small but very well equipped room with an ensuite and was fine for my 6 nights stay On arrival, there were a few teething problems but the staff (via phone calls)were absolutely brilliant with their help and patience for which I was extremely grateful. "The property is beautifully designed. It is compact but well planned out and very tasteful. Everything you need is there. The breakfast basket is delightful! The cottage is attractive and in a lovely location. It is so easy to just walk across the road for dinner. We loved it!!"

"The property is updated and clean. It's close to shopping and eateries. The only negative comment I have is that their website needs to update how to enter the apartment. Instead of stating to enter code and push door, tell patrons to enter door and turn knob while the button on the knob is still green. It was, honestly, a bit confusing. Other than that, everything was excellent!"

"Great position in Newbury, very close to the main shopping street. Parking nearby was cheaper than onsite so we used that. Entry was easy with good instructions. It was very warm inside, we had to open the windows and turn off the heating. Nice and quiet in the building, we hardly saw or heard anyone else. Everything you needed for a short break was supplied. "

Very surprised!

"Very pleasantly surprised. I thought low price meant fairly average but the Ibis Southampton exceeded my expectations in every way. Friendly, efficient check in, bright, clean, comfortable, quiet room. Had a drink from the bar when we got back after a show at the Mayflower theatre too. Couldn’t fault the whole stay, brilliant. "

Overnight stay before cruise

"Everything first class. Staff very knowledgeable and helpful. Appreciated our luggage being taken to and from our room. Standard room very comfortable and spotlessly clean. Enjoyed using the coffee machine and appreciated the excellent breakfast tea and china teapot. Lovely biscuits and complimentary gin too. Also liked the chocolates and handwritten postcard for my husband's birthday, a nice gesture. Made full use of the spa facilities the following morning namely the pool, jacuzzi and relaxation room. Would highly recommend a stay here."
