"This family-owned hotel-restaurant blew our minds in terms of quality of service, friendliness, and even sheer size. In fact, my family joked that the bathroom alone was as large as our previous hotel room. The beds were very comfortable, the pillows were huge, but folded in a way that made them optionally smaller, the balcony of our room 116 had flower pots and we could watch and even film pollinators visiting every flower in the evening to the amusement of our 6-yo daughter. The food, wine pairing are incredible reflecting the talent and the passion of the owner. Wonderful Baden-Württemberg in southwest Germany, on the edge of the Black Forest. Spa and pool complete the package and its location ideal for a short stop to continue travel to France, north or south Germany or for spending a few days exploring Freiburg. "
