"We stayed four nights at the Burghotel. It was great. The only thing americans need to be aware of is that there is no air conditioning. We could open the windows and get things cooled of for sleeping. The breakfast is great, the history of the Burghotel is amazing. We will be back again."

"We reserved 6 rooms for a graduation in Höxter. This hotel is about 15 minutes away!!! First morning we try to bath, NO WARM WATER until 11 am!!!! The graduation was at 1, so we had to really run. The breakfast was very very poor in many senses, a big disappointment for a German hotel. One of the rooms had its window not working and our guests were freezing all night. There is a Church that sounds its Glocks every 30 minutes which for some rooms was very loud. Would never return"

"No staff for late-night arrivals; call ahead for special handling (try not to be late; limited outdoor lighting). Hotel is in tiny part of small town; not much around (few residential houses and park); requires a lot of navigation from Autobahn (not "easy-on/easy-off"). Rooms and hotel are very basic; nightly price is therefore also lower. Room is only where you'll want to sleep and shower; no reason you'll want to stay in the room if you can find any reason to be elsewhere. Breakfast is buffet...

"The hotel staff is top notch. So friendly and always available. Super clean facility that is conveniently located in a beautiful neighborhood close to the town center. We were able to walk to everything! We highly recommend this facility."
