I really liked the location to the shops and train station. Parking would have been better if we could of had our car parked on the property. But we did enjoy our stay.

Parking was impossible and expensive. Room was OK, smaller than I expected . Did have a huge shower, but water pressure was minimal and shampoo dispenser was empty. Maybe my expectations were to high. It was just ok. The staff was great.

Great pool, spa area with towels available. Staff friendly and welcoming. Washing machine/dryer in room. Restaurant in house convenient, food was good. Shower pressure was amazing. No noise heard from other guests in bedroom which is great. Comfortable bed. Good lighting and kitchen space.
Booked a double/twin, upon entering room the make up was one queen and a made up sofa bed. The manager tried to remedy this with changing our room to original purchase, however upon entering new room the smell of wet carpet was horrible and we moved back to the original room which didn’t have the free snacks available that we obviously had paid for. Also, specifically requested parking at time of booking as we had a 6am ferry and had to leave at 4.30am, there is only a first come first serve limited car spaces for guests, you have to walk 5 mins to an offsite parking building with all your luggage, luckily I wasn’t travelling alone or would have been very unsafe walking to a external car building at 4.30am. The valet parking option wasn’t offered to us at the time of check in otherwise definitely would have purchased. It is also a struggle to get a park out the front to unload your luggage and check in. One of the staff assisted us with a luggage trolley and was helpful. No opening windows or nets and view of the back alley, rubbish bins and adjacent office buildings so had to keep curtains shut for privacy. Pillow was horrendous and smelt of previous user, sweaty.

Our room was very out dated but served our purpose with the kitchenette, though didnt have any cooking equipment which we had to ask for. When we did get some things to cook with, they were still unable to provide us with a fry pan.
Our room was forgotten to be changed and towels replaced, had to ring reception for clean towels and had to make our own beds.
The air conditioner was also spitting out dust the whole time we were there as the filters weren't clean and needed to be,
Not ideal for my hay fever and my 8 year olds asthma,
The staff however were friendly and the hotel in a convenient location for our walks along the jetty and into the city.

We had a family stay at Rydges on New Years Eve. Our room was lovely and we had an excellent view of the fireworks at midnight. Excellent location for transport, public transport, shopping and eateries.

The in house restaurant is excellent. Comfy bed. The AC unit in my room is kind of hard to operate (model 1) despite following the instructions on the user guide.
