I didn’t like the fact that the main lights as you walked in didn’t work! So I had to reach in and use the bathroom light. Tried to turn on bedside lamp, it didn’t work either. Went around to the other bedside lamp, it didn’t work either. Tried the desk and it worked, YEAH! Then tried to turn on the TV, however it only had 6 channels LOL! I asked the person at the desk to Please move me out of that 3rd world room that you have just given me or I’m going to have to UPGRADE my lodging and get a REFUND from EXPEDIA! She switched me to a smaller room, Thankfully! There was a lot of peoples hanging around outside and aswell in the main entrance to check in. Very shady to have the police to pull up inside the parking lot checking on the local people hanging out and making excessive noise till all times in the morning! Not worth the money at the Travel Lodge Welland. This is one of the worst motels/inns/hotels that I have ever been to in Canada, that was Big Brand Name for lodging or stays!

We checked in on November 1st and immediately checked out after seeing the state of the room. There was black mold everywhere and bed bugs. Luckily, the front desk staff was understanding and refunded us so we could find lodging elsewhere.

Very thin walls with a motel-style layout. You will hear everyone walking and talking in the halls, and every vehicle starting up when leaving early in the morning. Odd and inconvenient arrangement for the breakfast/coffee room requires the front desk to let you in after hours just for some hot water. Sliding doors only on ground floor means no open window without an open door. A bit of mold on the outer sheets — again, think motel. A disappointment, after a stay in a very nice Travelodge further to the north.

The staff at the front desk was very helpful ensuring that all our needs were met which made the stay very comfortable.
