Great hotel. Went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable. Were very accomodating to prepare us gluten free breakfast options. Highly recommend this hotel.

Hotel was in an industrial area. Easy parking and friendly staff. Breakfast let it down with a limited offering and they ran out of some item and were not replaced. Fruit juices had flies in them.

Not Our Typical Hotel Stay
Posted 17 Jun 2024 on HotelsWe were holed up in this hotel for three days sick. The people were very kind, and the room was very large. On the downside, the neighborhood is very industrial. Taxi’s are very expensive and not practical for getting around. The food in the restaurant is great, but meals are individually prepared by a small kitchen staff so service can be a bit slow.

Do NOT plan to arrive on the weekend. There is no one on reception. I was thankful that someone arranged to be there when I arrived at 1:30pm to let me in. This person was very kind but left the premises after showing me my room.
My room was large, very clean and bright. BUT there was no air conditioning or fan, no tea/ coffee making facilities no fridge. My room became a furnace as the afternoon progressed - I am Australian and used to heat but this was exceedingly uncomfortable. The walk to buy food was too far given that one is always tired on arrival and the area is not attractive. It cost me €50 for a taxi from Basel which shocked me given the short distance. I chose this hotel because I’m going on a Rhine trip and thought I could walk to the dock. I can’t and another taxi will cost €30.
I wish I’d stayed in Basel.
PS Don’t rely on TV for entertainment. Awful selection of programmes.

Lieber Gast,vielen Dank das Sie unser Gast waren. Anderen vorzuschlagen, Ihr Wochenende nicht hier zu planen ist ungerecht. Wir haben sehr gute Erfahrungen mit unserem Zugangscode an den Wochenenden. Wir sind auch extra für Sie am Anreisetag zur festgemachten Zeit Vorort gewesen, da Sie anscheinend kein Handy zur Verfügung hatten um uns bei Anreise zu kontaktieren. Sie hatten eines jedoch dann dabei. In unseren Zimmern ist keine Klimaanlage, jedoch haben wir Ventilatoren in jedem Zimmer. Vielleicht haben Sie diesen nicht bemerkt und das tut mir auch leid. Kühlschränke haben wir aus Gründen des hohen Stromverbrauches leider keine mehr in den Zimmern. Auch keine Kaffeekocher. Diese können jedoch bei uns angefordert werden oder Sie buchen ein Appartement mit Küche. Für die Taxikosten sind wir leider nicht zuständig. Wir waren jedoch bemüht ihnen ein günstigeres Taxi zu Ihrem Abfahrthafen zum Schiff zu besorgen, obwohl an Ihrem Aufenthalt gerade Messe war und dann die Taxikosten immer etwas höher sind. Bitte informieren Sie sich bei Ihrer nächsten Hotelbuchung etwas besser über den Standort ihres Hotels, dann geschehen solche Situationen nicht. Wir hoffen jedoch Sie konnten wenigstens Ihre Schiffsreise geniesen. Unsere Gäste finden die Lage unseres Hotels gut, wegen der Nähe zu Basel.

The area where the hotel is located, is very industrial. Nevertheless, I would totally stay once again here.
