"Room a bit tired but doesn't detract from the enoyment of the stay. Room and bathroom spacious and the bed was comfortable, perfect for after hiking up Scafell Pike. Good, hearty food and friendly staff. Perfect for what we needed."

The Lion and The Lamb
10/10 Excellent
"Set in a beautiful village this accomodation stands out withbits exterior decor. Parking is a short walk away and not onsite but this isnt gar and not a problem. We were greeted by a wonderful ladybwhonwas full of smiles, verybfriendly and appeared tonreally enjoy her job. She showed us to our room and left us to unpack. The room was big enougb fornthe 2 of us and had a good sized ensuite shower room. The rooms facilities were excellent. Smart tv, wifif and smart heating as well as a kettle and hair dryer. The hotel is small, just 14 rooms and also serves as one of just 2 pubs in the village. The pub itself is large, has pool amd darts as well as space for live entertainment. Multiple tvs line the walls and theres music too. Theres also a verybgood oitside space to the rear as well as a small area to tje front if you prefer to watchblife go by. Theres a great menu with a variety of foods available including a thai menu. Food and drink prices are good and theres ample choice. We had a lovely stay and are already planning to return. I require medical equipment at night and there was no issue with this either. Pricing for the accommodation is also reasonable. Definitely recommend "
