While the location is undeniably convenient, my experience had several drawbacks that made it less than ideal.
First, the water was shut off twice during my stay, and when it was turned back on, it was only cold. That was frustrating and unexpected. Upon arrival, there was no parking pass provided, so I had to use a guest pass and park in the guest spots, which are conveniently located out front. However, during the day, all the guest spots were full, leaving me no choice but to park on the street and pay for parking through ParkMobile—despite already paying $20 per day for guest parking.
Inside the apartment, there were several maintenance issues. The dishwasher had no power, multiple blinds were missing in both the living room and bedroom (which let in a lot of light, making it impossible to sleep in), and there was a mildew stain on the floor of the tub/shower. Additionally, I found a toothbrush in the couch, which raised concerns about the cleanliness of the unit. Noise was also an issue, with dogs barking randomly throughout the day, and there were strong food smells coming from the hallway and kitchen vent, likely from neighboring units.
On the positive side, the location is fantastic—close to DC, all major highways, and great restaurants and shops in Alexandria and Arlington. It’s also very convenient to both Reagan National Airport and Dulles Airport.
With better upkeep and attention to detail, this could be a much better place to stay.
