Waregem hotel rooms a the Van der Valk Hotels

"An amazing hotel, very clean, funky and great styling (the floor to ceiling paint in the reception area and in the rooms were awesome!), technology rich, very friendly and helpful staff and a wonderfully tasty and fresh breakfast buffet. Comfortable and clean room with exceptionally modern and functional amenities. Took a little while to understand the lighting system, so helps if you’re a little geeky minded. Coffee/tea maker in room which is a little less common in mainland Europe, but something we UK folks are used to). A nice restaurant not too far from the hotel as is the town centre. Pity it was only for a 1 night, hope to be able to visit again. "

"B&B Hotel Gent Centrum is as the name suggests very central and therefore close to many of the attractions of Ghent. Price was really reasonable and the breakfast is €15 per day and worth it (but might be cheaper if booked beforehand). No issues with quietness or comfort. One problem though - the shower head was leaking and therefore had very weak flow."

"The staff went above and beyond to fullfil all my needs. The temperature in the room was rather cold (very cold weather outside) and I couldn't figure out how the air con works. The receptionist listened to me carefully and then then sent someone to only adjust the temperature in the room but left an additional heating unit in my room should if I need it. the only reason I gave 4 starts for comfort was the noise from outside. The location is central and I had a wonderful view from my room. It was just a bit loud. Maybe should have brought earplugs. Apart from that, both receptionists I had the pleasure of talking to were extremely welcoming, nice and polite. Really appreciate it, thank you! :)"

"I originally had a different hotel booked but changed to this one at the last minute since it was closer to the city center and I read another review saying how it was very close to a parking garage. It ended up being ideally located, especially its proximity to the parking garage. The exit door from the garage is literally across the street (literally a few steps since it isn't a wide street) from the entrance to the hotel! The hotel room was spacious, the bed was comfortable, there was a kitchenette in the room, and it was close enough to walk around the city. If you just need a place to sleep, this is just fine. It's clean, comfortable, and affordable. If you do plan on driving, be aware that the hotel is located in a "low emissions zone" so the vehicle you drive must comply or you can be fined. Google "low emissions zone" and Ghent to fully understand what this means if you plan to drive! I would definitely stay here again."
