DISGRACEFUL!
Posted 20 Jul 2021 on HotelsAt no point should anyone book this Hotel! It has been up for sale since February 2021 and is currently closed. There are hundreds of letters inside the front door that nobody has been round to even clear them. The OYO group take your money from you, even though you take the pay at hotel option. Hotels.com know about this and they still haven't removed it from the Hotels.com site. Don't waste your time, effort and money on this property.

The hotel is no longer open. I could see tons of unopened letters on the porch and no opened door.

Cimfortable stay

Clean and comfortable, needs a bit of TLC

Posted 16 Sep 2019 on HotelsThis hotel was just fine. I had read some terrible reviews and my expectations were very low but I fact it was perfectly nice. Dated and a little worn but clean and sheets clean. Very friendly and helpful staff. And parking. It is a little out the way as busses are the closest public transport but I was perfectly happy to stay there. The garden is enormous. We missed breakfast so cannot comment on that. If I found a need to stay in Chigwell again I would be happy to stay there.
