We enjoyed our stay at the Comfort Hotel is close to the train station and bus transport. Handy to the supermarket on street level of the Hospital Building and the meals we bought can be heated on the 2nd floor microwave. Also in the train station a good place to eat B1 had an Italian name but great value meals. You can get 1000 yen all day pass for multiple bus trips so we visited all the Temples and Shrines and Wakayama Castle. Lisa is an English speaking worker at the train station & is so helpful.

Budget hotel a short walk from the train station. Decent breakfast included though it was crowded at peak times. Nice lounge area on the first floor with free coffee.

Solid hotel with a convenient location

Standard Japanese hotel with a standard breakfast buffet. Great location- about 2 blocks from the train station (and you can see it from the train station, so you can’t get lost). There’s a decent assortment of restaurants within a few blocks, so you can easily find something to eat. Pajamas offered at check in and other amenities available if you ask (like a toothbrush if you forget yours).

Simple, convenient to the station and quite comfortable. Perfect for the not too fussy solo traveller. Breakfast was great
