True oceanfront with lanai. Wonderful pool / hot tub area and private entrance to beach. Room was clean and had everything we needed, plenty of dishes, utensils, cooking tools. Hope to come back!

Perfect vacation

It was a perfect place and clean and comfortable. They only thing is that hotels.com advertised a room with two queen beds and they were only two twin beds. Big difference…

Polo Beach is known for being an upscale property. Our unit was worse than any hotel/motel I’ve ever stayed at. We had the following problems: bug- infested sofa leaving us nowhere to sit as a family, no Wi-Fi, air conditioning never worked, the toilet was always running, old, stained dirty carpet with a mildew smell, stained and tattered blinds, and the screen was falling off and hard to use. The smell from the time we arrived was nauseating. I’m not sure if someone urinated on the carpet at some point and it just never came clean, or if it was just mildew, but it was awful. We were without a couch for five days, with nowhere to sit together as a family and had to use a blow up mattress in the middle of the living room. I found Destination Residence to be very attentive and helpful and appreciate the lengths they went to to try to make us comfortable. However, our unit was for the most part uninhabitable. We had workers in our unit more than half the days of our stay. Sometimes they were there for hours. When we got the new couch, my daughter was stuck in the kitchen while it was installed as there was no way out. We had multiple men in our living room at one time, we had to change our plans to accommodate the repairs. It was a mess. I spent a lot of money to take my family on vacation to Maui, and chose a nice, upscale location and this was terrible.

We loved the location which is on a beautiful beach when they say everything is ocean front I want to know my unit ahead of time and as I called expedia and the management company they assured that it would accomodate our family. I told them upon check in that carpets were dirty they offered to clean them but that was already too late. Unit was dated but location excellent. I think expedia should let their clients know ahead of time what unit they are getting because I could have gotten vrbo property with better accomodations. Nice option is having the 2 seperate bedrooms for us. Also when arriving they said you may let us know if you don't like but they had zero interest in switching to the appropriate room.

Beautiful place to stay, sunsets are beautiful from this ocean view condo, it was enough room for my whole family the condo consist of one king bead in one room and two twin beds that can be pushed together to make a queen bed and it has a sofa bed. Parking is under garage. You have beach access right from the condo. Our toilet got clogged on the first night being there, but they came and fixed it promptly, so the communication is excellent. I would stay here again!

Surprised checking was off site. TVs not operating properly because they are controlled by the homeowner. Minimal quest services upon arrival.

Mahalo for your stay. Because the Polo Beach Club is a collection of privately owned oceanfront condos, there is no real central lobby/check-in office on property. For this reason, our management company has created a stand-alone guest services/check-in office in a convenient location on the way to the property where guests can be assured a smooth check-in and be greeted by our hospitality staff. Our Guest Services office is open seven days a week and available to assist with any guest needs and recommend on-island activities.

Great Beach and Location, but Confirm Your Unit

I believe these are individually owned condos, and some are in much better shape then others. First unit (206) we had was old and smelled really bad. The staff and Destination Residence moved us next door (unit 205) and it really saved our trip. While not new, unit 205 was updated and comfortable. The sandy beach is fantastic without lots of rocks or coral. The waves in October were nice even slow rollers that were perfect for boogie boarding. There are no services onsite, even the property managers are offsite. Beach is the main feature, but the pool was clean and mostly empty when we were there. There are gas grills available and worked well. Loved being oceanfront seeing those amazing Maui sunsets every evening.
