"The front desk check-in was like being greeted by a long-lost friend - welcoming and helpful with making dinner plans. The room was comfortable. The hot breakfast was available by 5:00am. Nice stay... fair price."

"The Prairie Rose is a beautifully done hotel! Not only did it accommodate our big family with a large room, but every room is done up with pieces from the surrounding areas history/items. It also has a bar area with awesome staff and good food and the best drinks!!! In the morning you can walk down the hall and grab some breakfast and a coffee or cappuccino, all wonderful! The Prairie Rose has several 3 bed rooms. I wish I would have asked for a tour of some of the other rooms. There is also a washer and dryer with all laundry supplies provided at no charge! Probably our best hotel experience ever! If you are ever near Wakeeny, Ks it definitely worth the stay! "

"We stayed overnight on our way across the country to see a sick family member. The room was clean, the shower was hot, the AC was cold, the bed was comfy, the staff was accommodating & friendly, and there was a Love’s conveniently located right across the street! Everything was great! To address a couple of concerns in other reviews that almost stopped us from booking here: 1. “The AC didn’t work.” The AC works just fine. If your room, like our bedroom, is missing the plaque to let you know, the thermostats are not the units themselves - they are on the walls. Ours was right next to the doorway. A quick look around and you will find it. 2. “It wasn’t clean.” It was clean. Yes, some normal, *light* wear and tear/signs of usage on *some* things, but certainly not dirty. 3. “It smelled bad/weird/funny.” Could be because my husband and I are both military veterans and have had the fortune of being exposed to other cultures around the world, but to us it smelled DELICIOUS! My husband and I actually joked about staying a couple extra nights to befriend the staff so they would invite us to eat with them. Bottom line, we enjoyed our stay and we would be absolutely happy to book a room here again. "
