Good Central location for the High Tatras

Pros: Location and food
This is a great central spot to explore and hike the high Tatras. Rooms were small by US standards but comfortable and definitely adequate. We had a very nice view of the mountains and valley below. Staff is very helpful, and you can purchase a hiking map from the tourist office. Easy walking distance to Smoky Smokovec for other restaurants, however, we found the food at the penzion not only very reasonable, but very good!

Billederne så meget bedre ud end det var og prisen alt for høj til standarden. Værelse med udsigt til bjerg betød at man skulle stå ved et højt vindue og kigge ud til siden. Værelset var slidt og med gamle møbler og gulvtæppe. Intet tryk på det varme vand. Venligt personale, men ville ikke bo her igen.

Dear Ms. Anne Catrine,we are very sorry that you did not feel comfortable in our hotel. Since our hotel has been providing its services for several years, we decided to renew our rooms some time ago. We started with the purchase of new beds and bedside tables, now in the summer we are continuing with the replacement of shower cubicles. We know that we still have a long way to go, but it is impossible to replace everything at once. We are just a small family hotel, and we can innovate whenever we manage to save something.Thank you for notifying our reception about the weak hot water pressure, we started solving this unexpected technical problem immediately after your information and on Monday, the day after your departure, experts were already at our place to repair it. We are very sorry, we could not have foreseen that such a situation would occur, as we regularly check the technical condition of all equipment.Thank you very much for appreciating the attitude of our staff. Hřeší na vysokou poptávku, cena je předražená....
Posted 18 Sep 2016 on HotelsNevyrovnaná úroveň služeb, velké rozdíly personálu v jednotlivých dnech. Úroveň hotelu naprosto neodpovídá cenové relaci - Grand hotel Smokovec je jen o ca 10% dražší a o několik úrovní výše....
