The receptionist was very friendly and accommodating for my poor French. He gave lots of advice as to where to visit. He is an asset to the hotel and deserves promotion

Going Downhill

Hotel seems to have gone downhill since we last stayed there. Breakfast was expensive for what was on offer. The gardens look like no one has tended to them for years so what used to be a nice seating area is now a wasteland. Bar was not well stocked and sometimes had to wait to find someone to serve.

A room without a/c when outside is 37 Celsius and inside over 40 Celsius is terrible. This hotel has absolutely no respect for the customers. You can die in these conditions. They should provide fans, ice, cold water, cooling areas. The room is full of bugs, spiders, mosquitoes, flies, worse than in the cheapest Carribean hotel. A disgrace, avoid it!

Staff Polite but rooms disappointing

Was disappointed with the hotel, I have used the Campanile in the UK and thought the standard would be the same across to France and was bitterly disappointed. There was no ventilation in our room as we couldn't open the door to the rear of the property as there was a desk in front of it. My children had an adjoining room, which was slightly better but the mirror had obviously been taken down and screws were sticking out of the wall and there was grey tape keeping the bath in 1 piece. Won't be staying there again on our travels. Bedding was clean though and the hotel staff was helpful, just not the standard I expected.
