To be honest we just wanted to stay overnight. Clean and basic, been staying in a Chateau beforehand!!
Very quiet, no atmosphere. No soft music and the lady owner just 'hanging' around to support you. Maybe so different in the summer months, but if you wish to Villedieu definitely the place to stay overnight.

Charming hotel in a charming village. Clean, comfortable, and friendly. Great value for money.

When we arrived at 11PM, the door was locked (closed down?) They sent the notice at 9PM that they will close at 10 PM! No lock box for late customer!

The hotel is very well situated and easy to find, great frontage and is clean, tidy and well looked after. The welcome was very warm, friendly and accomodating. Nothing was too much trouble. I would definitely stay here again.

Steer clear
Posted 6 Oct 2019 on HotelsDo wonder if this place has passed a fire safety test. The rooms are up rickety stairs and along poorly lit narrow corridors . The room was lined with chipboard. Although supposed to be non smoking people clearly did. No tea coffee facilities in the room. Not sure how this warrants a 8.2 out of 10 .

Cheap = ......
Posted 31 Jul 2019 on HotelsHotel is locked until 6pm - no access; bedroom lined out with chipboard, which forms the "desk" and clothes hanging area, "headboard"; sink badly chipped, loo crammed into the corner between bath & sink. Thinnest ever towels. Cheap, but....

Hotel was literally steps from the cathedral. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Room was compact but was comfortable.

Average stay for 1 night.
Posted 28 May 2018 on HotelsThis was a stop over for a solo cycling trip so was fairly happy to sleep anywhere. Room was adequate to meet those needs bed fairly firm. Did feel like i was the only one in the hotel but i did see others. Check in was quick however dont arrive before 6pm because they are closed. On the plus it is in the main street so plenty of small bars to eat and drink prior to check in. Breakfast was ok and provided me with the energy for the following day.
Ideal as a stop over if you just want a bed and break from a long journey but not for a family break.

1 night stay
Posted 11 May 2018 on Hotels1 night stay. Pleasant room in courtyard away from road. Comfortable bed and plenty of room. Good continental breakfast buffet. Limited off road parking in courtyard. Situated in town centre with plenty of nearby restaurants.
