This property did not disclose that it is literally located at the port! Plus the live band playing until 1am where our room was is completely negative.

Rooms are nice but the bathrooms were not great. We had a jacuzzi but no shower. Jacuzzi was in rough shape. The shared areas were very nice! Dining area was great. Free breakfast was really good. Lots of beach confusion, plus… you need to pay extra to use the beach. Elevators are very difficult to maneuver. Two of the guys on staff were excellent and helpful! There was a woman on staff who was not very unhelpful. Avoid the view of the shipping port. A lot to like but a lot to be careful about

Mixed feelings
Posted 30 Jul 2024 on HotelsIf we were in the 60s, this would be the state of the art place to go for. But we are not.. Location is simply stunning. The only downside is that when you enter the room, everything is old, but not in the "vintage old" kind of meaning. Air conditioning is far from being even acceptable. Rooms have a lovely balcony, however you don't feel like having a breakfast outside: cracks in the walls, old doors (you even need to use a key to enter the room...), lifts which have done their time. It's like you are into two different places at the same time. And to keep a place like this clean, it takes really a lot of effort. Bathrooms are desperately in need of a facelift.
A touch of renovation would make this place really a stunning one. Staff is amazing, especially the bar and the reception. Breakfast is average, unless you have a sweet tooth. In this case, it is sheer heaven with cakes, pastries and the like
