"Good value hotel in a great location near the 22 bus stops to and from the airport. On the edge of the old town so within walking distance of all the attractions. Staff were friendly and helpful, I paid 16 euros to extend check out from 12 to 3pm and there’s a room that you can store your luggage in. Although it’s a little dated this is a lovely clean and safe hotel. As a solo female traveller I would definitely recommend it "

"The Metropole is a beautifully renovated old hotel. We loved our stay here. It was convenient and the staff were so helpful and kind. Our room was well appointed with a huge king size bed! We certainly will return and highly recommend a stay here to anyone! Thank you to the staff for a magnificent stay!"

"The three person room was renovated and nice, but the 2 person room was a bit old. The walls are thin. The games room was good. Overall nice for a short stay."

"Everything was as good as can with covid19 going around. Breakfast was in another hotel and it was a bit crowded taking account that we have a virus at large. Also parking space was full even tho I asked before hand and the place they advised was 1/3 more expensive than they said it would be. On plus side we got a tip to park our car for free on Saturday after 17:00, near the river."

"Breakfast is good. Just sometimes the service is little bit noisy and intrusive. Old hotel. It smells bad and the stuff put something to air-conditioning or ventilation systems to hide this smell."

"Hotel has the feel of a castle. Room with high ceiling and nice decor. Ten minutes' walk to the train station. Plenty of convenience stores and budget restaurants (E.g. Lido) nearby. No kettle in the room."

"I have been staying at this hotel for every time I visited Riga. Most helpful, friendly staff and very clean rooms. Location is within short walk from most of the central areas. Very affordable, as well."
