Victoria Palace Theatre

Attend a spectacular production in the large domed auditorium of this celebrated institution with a rich and eclectic theatrical history.

The Victoria Palace Theatre is among the most historic and iconic establishments in London. It opened in its current incarnation in 1910 and has delighted audiences ever since with its range of musicals and plays. Enjoy a scintillating evening at one of the acclaimed productions in this famous theater.

Gaze up at the flashing lights surrounding the grandiose title of the current musical or drama. Past highlights include Billy Elliot the Musical, Buddy: The Buddy Holly Story and Annie. Note that each production tends to play at the theater for a number of years.

Admire the theater’s neoclassical white façade, with a pediment and imposing columns adorning its upper half. Capture photos of the impressive building, which is topped by a golden statue of the famous ballet dancer Anna Pavlova.

Bring your kids to watch a fun show for all the family. The domed auditorium seats 1,550 people, while the sliding roof keeps the hall fresh during intermissions.

A theater has been on this spot since 1832, when a small concert room opened in a hotel. It became known as Moy’s Music Hall and then the Royal Standard Music Hall, before being demolished in 1886. Note that the theater underwent a renovation, reopening in October 2017 with the Broadway musical Hamilton.

Book tickets from an authorized website and pay online for a paperless ticket. You can also call the theater’s box office to make reservations. Evening performances tend to run from Monday through Saturday, with an additional afternoon show from Thursday onward. Check out what’s showing at the nearby Apollo Victoria Theatre as well. It has long been associated with the hit musical Wicked.

The Victoria Palace Theatre is just west of Westminster in central London. Ride the Tube or take a bus to Victoria Station, which is adjacent to the theater. See nearby landmarks, such as Westminster Cathedral, the Victoria Memorial and the Royal Mews of Buckingham Palace.
