Great location, especially if you are in a EV.
Posted 5 Feb 2024 on HotelsGreat location, owner was a Electric car wizz which was helpful at times for someone who was using one of these for the first time.
The owners were very prescriptive of how to tidy the flat etc.
Perhaps they shouldn't rent on Hotels.com since this wasn't a hotel in any shape or form. It was disappointing that the accomodation wasn't physically in the main Residence, just a small lockoff on the side of the residence

Bonjour à vous Je pense que vous n’avez toujours pas compris votre location qui était un gîte donc comme indiqué dans votre réservation un appartement avec une entrée séparé et hôtel.com est simplement un revendeur de chambre du groupe Expedia !!! Donc c’est surtout à vous de vérifier vos réservations et de prendre à l’avenir un hôtel donc des chambres ou de regarder les sites en direct par contre je pense que vous n’êtes pas un professionnel de porte non plus car celle ci était une porte antivol avec trois point c’est pour ça qu’on doit lever la poignée c’est simplement très moderne et inviolable et nous sommes dans un petit village et demeure sous caméra donc rien à craindre.La demeure n’ai plus accessible car malheureusement trop de personnes incorrects ou qui prennent une maison d’hôtes pour un hôtel !!!!Je vous souhaite une bonne journée, salutations à vous Francis et Horia

Wonderful Chateau in a mid evil village.

Lovely restored property
If tranquillity is something you appreciate this place is for you
Village is void of bars or restaurants except of course the hotel
Excellent continental breakfast
and excellent dinners available

The chateau experience
Posted 5 Jul 2019 on HotelsBeautiful accommodation on the Rhône in a gorgeous little village off the beaten track. Very welcoming, personal service, family owned business. Spacious suite, lots of interesting artwork and artifacts throughout. Our room was a bit hot but we had a nice fan and we were in the middle of a heatwave across Europe. Definitely worth staying here. Great value.

Lovely B&B, ran by a wonderful couple who will make you feel at home. The property seats in a beautiful village and sits right next to a river with beautiful mountain views. If possible, I'd suggest you have your dinners there and get to know other guests. Unlike a regular hotel, at this facility, you will feel at home, will get to experience a more organic France and hopefully get to know other people. If you're in the area, this is highly recommended.

We were seeking a place where we could immerse ourselves into the atmosphere of the French countryside immediately after our plane trip from Canada. It fit perfectly. We drove from the Lyon airport through small villages with medieval memories, and were completely transformed on arrival in the tiny village of Vertrieu. The Relais building is authentic and speaks to local history inside and out. The hosts are welcoming and polite. They made outstanding efforts for us, arriving with our luggage still in transit. We had a lovely view of the Rhone and its escarpments from our bedroom. The large bed was ample and very, very comfortable. As there were no other guests off season, we had the bathroom and even a television room for our own use. The meals were simple and delicious. Do take the host`s advice about wines. His suggestions were simple, local, and thoughtful. Prices were most reasonable. The hosts can also advise visitors on the history of the place and the region. They extended themselves to make us comfortable and to become more knowledgeable. This is not luxury; it is authenticity and hospitality personified.

C’est une véritable Maison d’Hôte, Francis & Horia vous attendent, vous reçoivent avec attention, vous chouchoutent et vous préparent un excellent dîner.
L’impression d’avoir été visiter ma famille ❤️
Le château date du 17eme, avec un immense parc qui surplombe le Rhône.
Une expérience reposante dans un cadre historique et naturel exceptionnel 🌿🍃🌾
