Great location. Close to train station. Vernazza is a great place to stay. Lots of steps- be prepared. Room was very small but adequate. Restaurants for breakfast are close by. If you are there during the weekend, there is a loud bar downstairs that kept us awake late. Week days were quiet. It felt safe.

We had an enjoyable stay in Vernazza at the Carmelina Room. Room was cozy and comfortable and the fan kept us cool at night. Hosts left a bottle of Champagne for my wife’s birthday. Recommend having a Porter take your bags to room as it is up quite a few narrow steps.

Great room in Wonderful location! I choose to stay in Vernazza for 3 nights as my home base for visiting Cinque Terra. Vernazza has few affordable accommodations so I was pleasantly surprised to get this charming little room at a decent price. I am a solo traveler so the small size was more than adequate for my needs. The room has no grand views, but is central located so grand vistas are only steps away. Vernazza is overwhelmed by tourist during the day but exudes local charm at night. I was fortunate enough to be having dinner on the waterfront one night when several boat loads of men from the next village "invaded". It was a local wonderful evening not intended as a tourist attraction. Would definitely stay here again.

Very good with a few caveats
Posted 19 Oct 2022 on HotelsThis is a single room in a residential building, not a hotel. The room was generally comfortable. Fridge. No AC. I was here in October so open windows sufficed to keep me comfortable. But in the height of summer, the visitor will likely sweat. The Wi-Fi was pretty much useless. And then the most challenging initial issue: no indication how to check in if you arrive at the front door. The check-in agency is 100 feet away on the main drag. But because there is no indication how to find this, it becomes a problem. Access to the property requires the ability to climb some steep stairs. So if you are mobility impaired, this isn't the place for you. But quite frankly, if you are mobility impaired, Vernazza is not the town for you

Hi you actually did not book an hotel and we do not rent hotel rooms! We rent private properties in a National Park which have own and peculiar characteristics of private owns. Said that in Summer time we provide fans which are sufficient for the room size and nobody complained. you were here in October as said and consider that temperature this season was pretty much the same of July and August!Check-in instructions are extremely detailed and well report where and when you have to go to get keys and be escorted to property if during check-in times or how to pick keysBut directions must be read, of course! So problems are obvious when no one reads what has been sent via email even several times!Steps are the characteristics of the Cinque Terre...simply taking a look at any picture on the destination one can tell and clearly it's not a place for people who might have issues with rising paths and stepsThanks for giving us another chance to point out things that might be obvious when booking a property like this one but probably are not
