I absolutely loved the islands Anantara Resort had to offer but they are small, so excursions are a must unless you don't mind getting bored and just relaxing. Our assigned host, Ali, was super helpful & fun to talk with! The staff overall are amazing!! I did book the Adults Only resort but was definitely not Adults only LOL It just means your villa and the ones around you are for adults but once you leave that specific island to go to another you're surrounded by children, also your island is open to families for dinner. So if you're looking for something truly Child free or id you're triggered by them do not book here. Otherwise you will still have a blast & yes you will be spending a lot of money as there is tax & services charges.

We had an excellent stay. The resort is adult only and quiet. Food was outstanding and the staff was incredible. Guests have access to Dighu resort which is larger and offers more variety. I would highly recommend the hotel.

The best holiday ever

We had an amazing time at Anantara Veli, the property was spotless and so so charming. the staff were the best, ever so kind and helpful. Chef Subodh took such good care of us and made so many special dishes for us. Absolutely loved all the restaurants and cant wait to go back again. Thanks a million to Anantara team for making our anniversary a one to remember!

We had our absolute, perfect, dream honeymoon! Every staff member was extremely friendly, helpful, and just a joy to interact with. Our villa host, Ali, went above and beyond to make sure we had the best experience possible, and we did! Couldn't recommend this resort more highly. From the rooms to the beaches, to the views, to the food, to the people, this was the most superlative honeymoon we could have asked for! Thank you!

The property is very nice and not so far from Male Airport. After a long trip we valued this very much. Dining options were ok although some can be improved. However the staff was very kind and friendly, specially at breakfast in the Cumin restaurant. We found the wine pricing expensive, despite that we understand that transporting supplies over there is not an easy task. Feruza our Buttler was very kind and nice to us. Her service was really outstanding. Regarding snorkeling activities, the swimming with sharks was wonderful. The turtle and reef, not so great. Also outstanding the service in the Spa. We had the Moroccan hammam and enjoyed it very much. All together our stay was excellent !!!!!

Certainly, we are few minutes speed boat ride away from the Male’ airport and the view on the way is an absolute fantasy come to life with crystal blue waters connected to the blue skies. Terrible Communication

The hotel gave us the wrong room the first 2 nights, not what we were shown/paid for based on hotels.com. When I asked them at check-in, they told me it was the same room and made me feel like I was crazy. When I checked again on hotels.com 2 days later I checked the pictures of the room I was shown, my booking information and told the hotel that they did in fact give us the wrong room, the wrong view but still charged for the superior room. They said they would move us the room I had booked and did so after 2 nights. I have been waiting for a resolution regarding the price difference for over 3 weeks now and nothing has been done. The hotel never responded to any communication from us or hotels.com. Hotels.com has not been much help in resolving the issue either. Additionally the hotel has terrible communication within their spa. We had our treatments changed on us 2 days in a row without any prior notification or approval, but rather during mid-treatment. It caused a lot of frustration and surprise as this was supposed to be our babymoon. Really ineffective communication from the hotel, the spa, and even our villa host regarding what was going on.
