The hotel locates at a far away from the address we got from the Expedia, and without clear direction after the address. We spent 10 minutes to drive back and forward in the area before we could find the right direction. There were a live music show that night started at 11:00 pm. And we were waked up because of noises on the hallway at 4:30 am. There were a lot of people talking and running load, and the sounds of door opens and closes.

Dear Fred, I thank you for your constructive feedback. We are so sorry because of the noises. We feel that a group of people who do not pay attention to the welfare of the other guest. Unfortunately, We are not controlling all these situations, but we have a permanent security services, and that is the case that we have been informed of the inconveniences caused, we have put the means to avoid it. In any case, if you are looking for tranquillity, We recommend that you book at Hotel Segovia Sierra de Guadarrama, also located in Los Angeles de San Rafael. Finally, I apologize because it was difficult to find the Hotel. If we have been informed about the problem, we would tell you the best way to get there. King Regards.

Just what we needed

Posted 23 Aug 2017
The hotel staff, from the front desk, to the security officer, to the staff in the restaurant and cleaning people we accommodating and had a smile on their faces each and every time. The pool is not actually part of the hotel, it is a private pool club less than 25 yards away, but you should know it is not "right" in the hotel. Pool club has a full service bar and snack stand. Pool was clean and staff was attentive, however there is a cost to rent chairs and there is only grass to lay out on. Lake connected to the club had tons of activities and we had our older kids do the blow-up obstacle course on the lake. They loved it, but that lake looks like it is pretty dirty - had them shower right away. Did a nice day drive to Segovia and that is a great city. This hotel gave us a good break as we drove from Galicia to Barcelona. Nice job at the hotel.

Unique!

We read other reviews before booking, so our expectations were at an appropriate level before we arrived. The "resort" is almost a tourist attraction in itself as it is surreal. It looks like it was developed in the 1980s and has had little investment since. However, the room was sufficiently clean, the beds were freshly made. The grout in the bathroom was stained, the tiles cracked the decoration of the room scuffed and the window surround hanging off and rotten, but what do you expect for a room you can book on the day for €107 for five. The pool was clean and refreshing but again looked like the structure hadnt been maintained in decades. The staff were all helpful and friendly and happy to try their english which was a great help. The drinks and icecreams are not expensive. We didnt eat as the mock galleon interior of the restaurant was just a step too far. To sum up, a strange but not unpleasant place, not unreasonable for the price and very well located for Segovia.

After a very bad hotel stay in Madrid the gentleman in the reception gave us a lovely, large room that was very clean and comfortable. In fact all the reception staff was extremely courteouss. We went to the pool area and used the therapeutic pool ,wonderful after so much driving. The hotel is a bit hard to find but well worth it once you do.Segovia is about a half hour away.We enjoyed it and would recommend it.

Need to be warned you have to pay to use spa

Posted 18 Aug 2012 on Hotels
The hotel is off the beaten track down the bottom of a ravine in a ski resort.room was really nice, had a balcony that overlooked lake, I arrived at 7:40pm, spa was closed, went back after breakfast around 11.30 am was told I had to go to reception who then said I had to pay, not amused and hotels.com should make this clear when booking, Checked out as was heading for ferry from Santander.

Great hotel but it is not in Segovia. It is a pleasant 20 minute drive. The staff were very friendly and helpful.

Something SHINING-like

Since I had a car, this location was fine for me ... not too far from Segovia. But it was waaaay out in the countryside. A bit diffcult to find, and once there, a bit creepy. Not many guests ... it felt like only i and the front desk clerk werre there (but there were cars around, so there must have been others). Room was fine .... clean. Staff was fine. Just felt a bit strange way out in the countryside ... alone ... but I was looking for something cheap and clean. I found it.
