Peaceful and green
Posted 23 Jul 2023 on HotelsSuper peaceful, rural location. Looks great for biking and hiking, though for us was just an overnight stop. Unusual conversion of a hospital into hotel. Interesting architecture, amazing LARGE windows. Very friendly and helpful service. No restaurants particularly nearby but nice to eat at the hotel and great breakfast included.

Diamond in the rough
Posted 1 Oct 2017 on HotelsA diamond in the rough, out in the middle of no where. Superb service and food. We found what we needed. The little town has a history of having several prisons, dating way back. Incredible history to be found. Unfortunately non of it in English, only dutch. You have to read up about it on line.
Super accommodating staff. Helpful and friendly. We enjoyed long bicycle rides, exploring the country country sid.

Nice environment and easy to visit if you like quiet. The Kolonie van weldadigheid, is an interesting part of history. Besides this not much to see.
Breakfast is basic, but okay.
