Elegant stay - steps from historical district
Charming chateau literally steps from historic ramparts. Gracious and helpful hosts. Quiet beautiful grounds with a serene garden and pool. Chateau retains much of the period elegance. Highly recommend for anyone who wants to experience French hospitality and lifestyle.

Christine was very welcoming and even had gluten free product for my husband who is gluten intolerant. Something we have struggled with in other French hotels. Our room was lovely and the location super as easy access to the town

The chateau is amazing. Beautiful grounds and well appointed chambres. Traditional French breakfast was lovely. Close to the ramparts across from the jardins. Will definitely be back to stay longer in Vannes.

4 night stay at the beautiful property with wife & baby. All facilities for baby available high chair, baby cutlery , bath, playroom etc Chrisitine & her team are always extremely welcoming. Breakfast lovely eggs made to order. Shared kitchenette is useful for storing food & drink. Garden & pool are beautiful - we will be back!

Christine the hostess welcomed us warmly and showed us the facility of hotel. Although available for us we did not use the spa. We were able to find free street parking near the hotel. Walking to the old town takes 10 minutes. Breakfast was excellent. Overall a very pleasant stay

Lovely old mansion just outside the old city walls
La Maison de la Garenne is a lovely, old three story mansion near the top of a small hill, and next to a park, just beyond the old city walls. It has about five rooms. Ours was a perfectly adequate size room, with a four poster bed, on the top floor (no elevator but the stairs are easy) overlooking the park. Breakfast (with cereal, eggs to order, yogurt, croissants, breads, juices) is on the second floor. Parking for a car is available €13/night) in the courtyard in front of the mansion but is limited. Free parking is available near by. The hostess/owner could not be more pleasant or helpful.

We had a wonderful stay at Maison de la Garenne. The maison is simply stunning and the inside is just as beautiful. Our room was immaculate and had a lovely view over the garden, where there is a small pool. The breakfast was also fab, and the owner really lovely and helpful. The Maison is well positioned in Vannes and a 2 min walk from the old town and a short walk to the marina (where we had a wonderful dinner) I would highly recommend staying here and would certainly stay again!

A beautiful and special property
Maison de Garenne is a beautiful property within walking distance from the buzz in Vannes. The rooms were well equipped with toiletries, bathrobes, tea/coffee etc. The outside has a lovely spa pool with luscious garden for you to sit out in. The hostess was charming and was so very helpful when we had to change our plans slightly. She also recommended places for us to go and eat .The breakfast was made up of a selection of home made goodies and pastries. A wonderful stay
