Nice but not all that. Details falling short. Chicken fried steak had a nice crust but was too tough.

Best hotel in the area. Nothing to do around the property. There was a stain in the sheet and when I reported they change the sheets immediately. Very good staff members.

Every employee from the front desk to housekeeping were very kind. The room was very clean. Best choice for stay halfway between Arizona and Texas.

Wonderful, historic hotel in downtown Van Horn, TX. Restful central courtyard with fountain. Original tile and woodwork in public spaces. Lively dining room and bar. Very comfortable room with period, yet updated, bathroom. Memorable stay at El Capitan.

A great, classic hotel, with excellent staff and well-done renovations in the common areas and rooms. And an outstanding restaurant with great food, drinks, and atmosphere.
