The Good: friendly staff, clean room, decent bed, PRICE, close parking, fairly spacious
The So-So: out-dated paint scheme and carpet, small TV, very little clothes-hanging space, front desk not staffed 24/7.
The Bad: the door knob lock did not work either manually or by key. The dead bolt lock above the knob engaged by turning the lever from within the room, but not from the outside by using a key.
We stop in Van Horn just to sleep / break up a twenty hour drive, so we were satisfied with our stay at this motel. It's clean, inexpensive, minimalistic lodging.

Would have been great to have a coffee pot in the room or even coffee in lobby. Staff was great

Lovely stay, well maintained for an almost historic place. Definitely captures the vibe of a small town in a nice structure. I enjoyed mysay. Walls seem thicker than the newer inns and hotels.
