The bed was uncomfortable, and both me and my fiance woke up with back and neck pain (after a night of barely sleeping). A lot have been invested to renovate the building, and it looks great. But the most important is the quality of sleep, this is the reason why people go to hotels. The breakfast was very expensive (30Euros/person), so we had one elsewhere.
The hotel was amazing! We stayed for one night and the next morning the receptionist gave us a tour of the facility downstairs (which used to be a flour mill back in the day). They have preserved the facility and use it for weddings and other occasions.
Because of reviews by others we knew we would find an acceptably nice hotel. Much to our delight, it was much more. Our room, the Francisco de la Goya (all are furnished uniquely, apparently), was superb. While some of the amenities one may associate with a five star hotel are missing, at a fraction of the price, staying at this hotel is worth a detour.
Excellent choice - this hotel is a remodeled old water mill; one can see the water being channeled in its basement, the old equipment
, etc. A 10 minute leisure walk along the river takes you to the heart of the city. Personnel was helpful and professional. Rooms were very clean, outstandingly modeled and full of character. I do not know how other hotels in this chain compare with this one but the Valladolid Eurostar is a must see/ must stay
Hotel located some way out of the main town along a very pleasant boulevard.
Hotel very good & good staff.
Our only disappointment was when my car was delivered back in the morning the receptionist had changed every possible driving position, seat ( just about everything )mirrors, etc, etc.
If they have to change things they should return to original settings.
Not good enough to watt ant five stat rating
Clearly at odds with others on this one, but we weren't that impressed. A large, very clean and comfortable but windowless room with skylights only - one blind of which stuck half-way letting in light - and noisy at times. The hotel is on a triangular section bisecting two main roads. Sirens at night and mopeds noticeable. Close to interesting city. Very hard to locate even with GPS. No on-site car park as expected, but valet service at additional cost, so make sure you have all you need! Couldn't find anyone for a bar drink at night, no advice on restaurant so we ate out, breakfast substantial but spoiled by oily and undercooked eggs and stale buns and bread. This hotel looks the business, but doesn't deliver and wouldn't rate 4* in my view.
A very nice hotel on the outskirts of Valladolid (but within walking distance of the city centre). The hotel looks to have been recently refurbished to a good standard (may be not 5 star) but excellent value for money. The staff were extremely good except for a disappointing experience when ordering a evening snack in the bar - we felt like we were imposing on the waiter and he was not very welcoming. However, the reception and breakfast staff were extrememly pleasant. The breakfast was a delight.
