Good low cost accommodation

Pros: Friendly staff and pleasant, cleanliness, airy breakfast room.
Cons: The part of the motel I stayed in was old.
I booked at the De Heek because I wanted a low cost stay a short drive from Maastricht.

Location: a quiet country location
The staff were exceptionally helpful,and there were ample parking facilities,which were not readily available at other hotels in the area.the hotel is also located in a quiet country area

Friendly staff, quiet and clean
Posted 19 Jun 2013 on HotelsThis hotel was conveniently located to the centre of Valkenburg and a short drive to Landgraaf and Zuid Limburg. We stayed here for a multi-day event at Megalands (concert venue in Landgraaf), and it was perfect for our needs. The rooms were clean, the kitchenette (complete with coffee maker, tea pot cups, bottle opener, wine key and refrigerator) was very useful, and the shower pressure in the bathroom was great. The room was a decent size and included a small table. It was a bit annoying to have two separate beds that did not stay together easily and the tv was very small and old, but both of these drawbacks were very minor. Finally, we were never informed that check-in is required before 8pm. When we arrived, our room was about to be given away because we did not check in until almost 9pm. There was no notice about this on our hotels.com confirmation, but as it worked out in the end, it was not a big deal.

A trip to the outskirts
Posted 27 Aug 2012A suitable place to stay if you are driving, but if you are relying on public transport or walking it isn't particularly convenient. It should also be noted that they expect you to check in by eight in the evening, although no mention of this is made in e-mails! And there isn't really anything to do if you do check in at that time as it is in the middle of nowhere.

I enjoyed my stay very much only drawback we were relying on public transport most people staying had their own cars. It was a good walk from Valkenberg station and not many taxis about..

Heel fijne accommodatie, duperschoon en mogelijkheid tot zetten van koffie of thee. Koelkast op de kamer is een enorme plus.
Fijne badkamer, goed bed!

Prima overnachten

Wel jammer dat je in de avond eigenlijk niet terecht kan voor een drankje of zo. Eigenaren zijn er alleen voor het in en uitchecken verder niet aanwezig.

Bedankt voor uw review. Wij zijn de hele dag geopend tot 19:00 uur. We zijn in het verleden ook in de avond open geweest en weten daarom dat men geen gebruik maakt om een drankje te komen doen in de avond. Daarom onze keus om niet meer open te houden 's avonds.Gr. Patrick en Chantal
