Wonderful stay in the heart of Umbria
Posted 3 Jul 2024 on HotelsThis is a real medieval castle! You travel in time when staying at Giomici. The hosts are a wonderful team, excellent communication and service. The room was comfortable and super-clean. We stayed once for the supper, it was tasty and reasonably priced. The breakfast was plenty and fresh. The locally produced coffee was a nice surprise.

nicely refurbished medieval castle in a beautiful, quiet location with a great view. Andrea, the owner, will give you a private tour of the Giomici property and good advice about where to eat or visit.

Great castle but i was double charged...
Posted 27 Jul 2019 on HotelsThe Castle experience per se was great,but it was surprising that at checkout i was asked to pay for the stay although I already prepaid for it via hotels.com
I ended up disputing the charge and getting a lecture by my credit card collection department on how to blame hotel.com rather than the hotel owner, which was clearly wrong as I never ran into such situation with hotels.com so i trust them way more than credit cards operators and shady hotels owners

Dear Maggie, thanks for your review. First of all, I am sorry for the problem regarding the payment. We sent the refund the same day Expedia contacted us, on the 20th of July... and we are talking about 85 Euros. I personally think it is really unfair to rate us 4/10 for a stay that you are admitting as being a great experience. And only for this mistake: you could have simply informed us when we wrongly requested the payment again. Hope you can revise your comment and rating. Kind regards, Andrea

Wonderful location and experience, also made it from very professional and friendly staff .

Amazing experience
