Lots to offer
Posted 4 Feb 2020 on HotelsWe were arriving by car, always a challenge in a strange city, but the staff were very helpful and we got into a public garage not far away.
You need to be aware that there is no restaurant or even a real breakfast area - just an area where you can get free self-serve coffee etc and snacks from a vending machine any time, and sit at one of the many tables. That might not suit everybody, but it is an easy walk to restaurants, cafes, monuments etc.
Also the reception is staffed only limited hours, but they go to great lengths to ensure that's not an inconvenience.
The hotel itself is lovely: newly renovated, comfortable and stylish. Pity it was too cold to make use of the roof garden!

Accommodating Accommodation
Posted 14 Jan 2020 on HotelsWe had 2 nights, a trip combining taking part in an event and also meeting up with some friends, so wanted somewhere that made getting to the event on the outskirts of the city easy, but was also "walkable" to meet up for a drink or meal without needing to use transport. The location was perfect for this, just off the main road alongside the Turia park ( but far enough in for there not to be any traffic noise). This seemed like a relatively new hotel, so was clean and well appointed. The welcome we received was second to none, friendly, helpful, and with a choice of rooms as it was a quiet weekend. The room as comfortable, clean, and well equipped ( fridge, kettle etc). Bonus discoveries were the free hot drinks machine on the first floor and the roof terrace, which was beautifully appointed. There was the opportunity to store bags after check out so we could extend our exploration of the city later into the day of departure. Free street parking was available about 10 minutes walk away across the park. The cathedral and central tourist areas likewise were within 10 minutes' walk.
