We stayed just one night and ate dinner st the restaurant, which was very nice. The room was a bit tight on space though, and stuffy, we had to leave the window open at night to get air in the room.

We very much enjoyed our stay at Starby Hotel. Our room was clean and quiet, the staff were very friendly, helpful and professional and the food ( we only ate breakfast there) was very good. The back garden area is beautiful and a lovely place to sit and have breakfast or a cocktail.
It is worth noting that the accommodations are much more of a "motel" than a "hotel" and the rooms have the feel of a motel with a bit of paint and polish applied. Quite comfy and clean, but a distinctly different feel than one expects in a "hotel".
The location is great and it is an easy and short walk into the downtown and is only minutes to the castle and also has a good grocery store right across the street.
Overall a definitely positive experience and would recommend.

Pleasant weekend

On the other hand, the room was a bit too small for 2 adults and 1 child (6years) and the hotel was undergoing renovation (no carpet in the hallway)

I like the hotel very quiet and unique and the most important very clean the people there really nice and hospitable

Free parking and easy walk to vadstena!
Posted 14 Nov 2018 on HotelsWonderful stay at starby! Quiet and peaceful room. Great free parking. Nice included breakfast with the opportunity to make fresh orange juice yourself. Less than 10 minute walk to vadstena castle and the town of vadstena is another five minutes. Highly recommended!
